myETHOS is a secure web-based cloud system solution that employees, suppliers, customers, or the public can turn to report suspected irregularities around the clock, all year round. The solution enables anonymous reporting via web and telephone. Of course, the solution is compatible with requirements from the GDPR and pursuant to Law 4990/2022 that transposed the EU WB Directive in Greece.

myETHOS is more than just a system solution. In case of management, administrators at myETHOS Services receive the case and have an encrypted dialogue with the whistleblower throughout the process. In addition, the customer is given a recommendation for further action in each case. All incoming cases are handled by appointed staff at myETHOS Services with solid investigative experience.

On November 26, 2019, the Directive on the Protection of Persons who Report Breaches of EU Law (Directive (EU) 2019/1937), also known as the "Whistleblowing Directive," was published in the Official Journal of the EU and became effective on December 16, 2019. EU Member States, including Greece, were given a 2-year period from the date of the Whistleblowing Directive's enactment to incorporate it into their domestic legal systems.

Greece has met the minimum standards outlined in the Whistleblowing Directive by enacting Law 4990/2022. This new legislation entails, among other things, that as of May 11, 2023, companies with over 250 employees or municipalities with more than 10,000 residents must establish a whistleblower function. Companies with 50 to 249 employees, on the other hand, are required to comply by December 17, 2023.

The recently implemented legal framework necessitates the development of well-designed internal policies for managing and providing feedback on whistleblower matters.
